TEACHER ACCEPTED FOR SUMMER RESEARCH PROJECT

SCOTT CITY -- Carol Varnon, a physics teacher at Scott City High School, has been accepted for the 1991 Summer Research Experience for Science Teachers to be held in Columbia June 17 through July 19.

Up to ten Missouri science teachers are selected each summer to participate in this five-week program that combines active research, development of investigative laboratories for classroom use and seminars on a variety of current science and professional issues.

New approaches to secondary school science teaching will be emphasized during the program.
