David A. David A. Taylor, M.D., and Dr. Dawn Caruso, both psychiatrists, and Mr. Bob LeFebvre, psychotherapist, are now providing specialized psychiatric consultation, assessment, and treatment services at 1404 Old Cape Road, Suite 102, in Jackson.

Services are available to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and are available by appointment. Medicare and insurance payment are accepted.

Taylor was most recently affiliated with the Cape Girardeau office of Community Counseling Center, where he served as medical director. Past appointments include medical director of the Psychiatric Unit at Southeast Missouri Hospital; medical director of Clyde L. Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna, Ill.) and assistant professor and Director of Psychiatric Education at Southern Illinois University in Springfield.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1982 at Rush Medical College in Chicago, and completed his General Psychiatry residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. In addition, he completed a fellowship in child psychiatry at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Taylor has expertise in diagnosis and treatment of the full range of emotional and behavioral disorders.

Caruso comes to Southeast Missouri from her most recent affiliation with the St. Louis University Medical Center, where she provided psychiatric services at St. John's Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and Cardinal Glennon Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic. While completing her residency, Caruso also gained experience providing psychiatric services at the Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinics at Wohl Clinics, and at Travis Air Force Base, Sacramento County Mental Health Center, and the University of California-Davis Hospital.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995, from St. Louis University School of Medicine. Caruso has expertise in diagnosis and treatment of the full range of emotional and behavioral disorders.

LeFebvre was most recently affiliated with Family Counseling Center in Kennett, where he served as director of behavioral health. LeFebvre also served as division director of the Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program at Community Counseling Center from 1988 to 1995. Additionally, he has been employed by the Missouri Department of Mental Health as director of acute/forensic services, regional consultant, and mental health coordinator, and psychiatric social worker. LeFebvre has also been engaged in providing private psychotherapy services for adults and youth since 1995.

He earned his Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 1978. He has 20 years of professional experience in administrative, supervisory, and clinical areas of mental health services. In addition, Mr. LeFebvre has expertise in Family Dispute Mediation, and Critical Incident Debriefing. He serves as a consultant in the areas of critical incident debriefing and crisis management to Crisis Management International in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
