Tax aid to be offered in Cape and Jackson

AARP Tax-Aide offers tax assistance for low- to moderate-income individuals with federal and state tax forms. AARP also assists seniors and handicapped individuals with Missouri Tax Credits. Bring last year's returns, current year W2, Social Security and SSI (letter), 1099-INT, 1099-R, paid property tax for 2007, or total of year's rent receipts from landlord with landlord's Social Security number. Handicapped people must have proof of disability. Electronic filing is available at all locations.

Cape Girardeau schedule

• 9 a.m. to noon Mondays, Feb. 4 to April 14 at the Salvation Army Building, 701 Good Hope St. Closed Feb. 18.
• 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 4 to April 14 at the Cape Senior Center, 921 N. Clark Ave. Closed Feb. 18.
• 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Feb. 6 to April 9 at the Cape Senior Center.
• 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 2 to April 12 at the Cape Senior Center.

Jackson schedule

• 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 4 to April 14 at Riverside Regional Library, 204 S. Union Ave.
• 1to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 7 to April 10 at the Jackson Senior Center, 2960 Travelers Way.
