Quality Air Compressor Company of Chaffee has become a master distributor of Ingersoll-Rand Type 30 air compressors, which includes five to 40 horsepower piston-powered compressors.

"We're the only distributor for the compressors between St. Louis and Memphis," said co-owner Carol Collins. She and her husband Wayne started their business four years ago.

"Ingersoll-Rand is expanding its territory," she said. "They conducted a survey late in 1990 and early in 1991. The survey showed a need for an added distributorship in this area due to its growth."

Collins said Quality Air Compressor was able to procure the distributorship since it is a full service company and deals only with air compressors.

Quality Air Compressor sells and services the Ingersoll-Rand and other brands of compressors and has a full line of accessories. The company is located at the Blomeyer Junction of Highways 25 and 77, north of Chaffee and south of Dutchtown.
