Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle brought his staff back up to full strength this week with the hiring of a new assistant.

Michael Mueth, a graduate of the Notre Dame University School of Law, will join Swingle's staff to replace Michael Linsenmeyer, who is on extended leave as a result of illness.

Swingle has a staff of five assistants.

During his presentation to the Cape Girardeau County Commission seeking permission to hire Mueth, Swingle said the new assistant has experience working as an intern in the St. Louis city prosecutor's office and as an intern in the federal prosecutor's office in St. Louis.
