Members of the Barracuda swim team will learn and practice four competitive swimming strokes, compete for weekly rewards and splash around the swimming pool to beat the summer heat. Members of the Barracuda swim team will learn and practice four competitive swimming strokes, compete for weekly rewards and splash around the swimming pool to beat the summer heat.

Barracudas are children ages 5 to 18 who compete at swimming meets against swimmers their own age. Children who love to swim can be Barracudas for the Jackson swimming team.

Two professional coaches will teach swimming strokes and racing techniques in daily practice sessions.

Registration for the swimming team will be from 5 to 7 p.m. May 11 at the Riverside Regional Library. A meeting of parents will follow the registration from 7 to 8 p.m.

Swimming practice will be mornings at Jackson swimming pool.

There are seven swimming meets, two at Jackson pool.

The Barracudas will compete in the Southeast Swim Conference.
