Sweetbriar Estates, an eight-unit duplex development, is under construction at the corner of Amblewood and Brookshire in Cape.

The first building will contain a 1,600 square foot owner unit and a 1,400 square foot rental unit.

Sweetbriar Estates was designed by Creative Concepts, an architectural firm from Dallas, and developed locally by Gary M. Arnold Construction Company.

The owner unit will consist of a 14 x 28 great room, master bedroom with walk-in closets, dining room, breakfast room, designer kitchen, laundry room, guest bedroom with bath, and a two-car garage. All units will include about 400 square feet of storage.

Each unit in the complex will feature steep pitch roofs, brick veneer construction, highly-efficient energy insulation in floors as well as ceilings and walls, and automatic garage door operators.
