Officers with the Illinois State Police are seeking a suspect involved in a double shooting in Thebes, Ill., Tuesday night.
Dion L. Meadows, 24, of Carbondale allegedly shot two people in the parking lot of Mary Alice Meadows Public Housing at about 9 p.m. The Alexander County state's attorney issued a warrant for aggravated battery with a firearm.
According to the Illinois State Police, Meadows got involved in an argument with one of the victims at the housing complex. Before fleeing in his car, a 1995 gold Oldsmobile, he fired gunshots.
The victims were transported to Saint Francis Medical Center. One received serious injuries while the other victim received non-life threatening injuries, police said. Authorities are not releasing the names of the victims.
