The Missouri Public Service Commission asks people interested in the relay Missouri surcharge to submit a request to be heard before June 19.
The Missouri Legislature enacted the surcharge in 1990 to have a special telephone operator to aid Missourians with hearing or speech disabilities. Missouri telephone customers pay 13 cents a telephone line a month for the service.
