SUNSET HILLS, Mo. -- Another St. Louis suburb has agreed to limited deer hunting to try and keep the deer population in check.
KMOX Radio reported Sunset Hills aldermen Tuesday voted 5-2 to allow bow hunting on one-acre parcels of land with the permission of the property owner.
Some residents opposed the plan, citing concern about killing the animals and worries that a stray arrow could injure or kill a pet or child playing in their yard.
Deer hunting in Sunset Hills will be allowed Oct. 1 through Nov. 15, and Nov. 27 through Jan. 15.
