"Dr. Strom has the experience and talent to help Macon State accomplish this important task," said David Bell, president of Macon State. "We are very enthusiastic over her appointment."

Strom said: "I am delighted to be offered the opportunity to join David Bell, Tom Isherwood and the new administrative team at Macon State College. I will be initiating an enrollment management unit, a freshman-year experience program, student leadership initiatives, among other new programs."

Strom recently resigned from her $94,000-a-year job at Southeast, effective June 30. She had been offered a faculty position in Southeast's department of educational administration and counseling.

She came to Southeast in 1992 after serving as assistant vice president of student affairs at Mankato State University in Minnesota.
