BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, Mo. -- Nearly 700 students at a north St. Louis County high school walked out of classes Thursday for the second day in a row to protest the firing of their principal. The school board voted April 12 not to rehire principal Glem Ukaoma. District officials would not say specifically why Ukaoma was let go, only that he did not meet expectations.
School officials are concerned about test scores.
But teachers, parents and students say the School Board is vindictive and that Ukaoma was the best principal the high school has ever had.
