Japanese students at Southeast Missouri State University are raising money to aid victims of the devastating earthquake that has killed thousands in their native land.
The money will go for clothing and emergency aid.
The Japanese Students Association will set up a table in the University Center lobby. Money will be collected next Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Checks should be made payable to the American Red Cross Japanese Relief.
About 100 Japanese students are enrolled at Southeast. Three of them are from the Kobe area.
Kenjiro Wakatsuki, secretary of the Japanese Students Association, said none of the students' family members were injured in the quake.
