Angie Keys and Tara Beth Heisserer have been named Students of the Month for October by Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.
Keys, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Keys of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, where she is co-editor of The Tiger newspaper, a member of chamber choir and the varsity softball team. She is also a member of the New Life World Outreach Center youth group and earned the Gold Award through girl scouting.
Heisserer, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Heisserer of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School, where she is a member of the cheerleading squad, the pep club, the concert choir, SADD, and vice president of student council. She is also an elite member of the Ballet Royale Midwest competitive troupe and a junior volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center. She attended HOBY, Youth Optimist Government Day, and Missouri Freedom Forum. She is a member of St. Vincent De Paul Church youth group.
