Seventy-nine students at
Southeast Missouri State University have been inducted into the
Missouri Eta chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship
Society.
The students were inducted Oct. 13 during a ceremony in the
University Center.
Alpha Chi is a national honor society that
recognizes outstanding academic achievement of junior- and senior-
level students. To be eligible for membership
, a student must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.6 or
above.
Patricia Volp, associate dean of students, and Tom
Harte, professor of speech communications, officiated at the
induction ceremony.
New members, their families and friends participated in
a reception.
