Southeast Missouri junior high and high school students are slated to submit their finest project work in the 43rd annual Industrial Technology Awards district program April 24-25 on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

Sponsored by the university's industrial technology department in conjunction with the Missouri Industrial Technology Educators Association, the program is an opportunity for students and their teachers to upgrade and promote skills, craftsmanship and scholarship.

David Thompson and Tim Miller, both Southeast assistant professors of industrial technology, are co-chairmen of the awards program.

Judging will take place the evening of April 24.

The public is invited to view the student projects from 9-11:30 a.m. April 25 in the Serena Building.

In addition, the public, teachers and students are invited to participate in a "TOP 10" contest. Prizes will be awarded to those whose selections match those of the judges.

An awards presentation is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 25 in Johnson Hall Auditorium.

Twenty-five students winning first place honors will advance to and compete with their projects at the state contest May 2 at Jefferson City High School.
