Sixty-three students representing 40 Missouri schools were chosen recently as members and alternates of the 1992 Southeast Missouri Honors Wind Ensemble.
The students were chosen by audition from several hundred youths. The band was comprised of 50 students and 13 alternates.
The following is a list of area students named to the honors wind ensemble.
CAPE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: Darren Allcock, trumpet, alternate; Cary Dunavan, percussion, alternate; Cherish McClinton, horn; Christy Wetzel, bassoon, alternate.
JACKSON HIGH SCHOOL: Susan Baker, horn, alternate; Jamie Becker, percussion; Jamie Brothers, trombone; Dustin Crass, tuba, alternate; Corey Gee, contra clarinet; Kelly Hitt, clarinet; Chris Hutson, baritone saxophone; Gina Parenteau, clarinet; Adrian Raney, oboe, alternate; Erika Reppen, oboe; Brandon Suedekum, tenor saxophone; and Kelly Wieser, trombone.
MALDEN: Holly Johnson, flute/piccolo, Campbell High School.
MARBLE HILL: Tamara Jones, bass clarinet, Woodland High School.
MATTHEWS: Christie Wood, euphonium, New Madrid High School.
MILLERSVILLE: Roger Kiplinger, alto saxophone, Jackson High School.
PATTON: Sarah Zimmer, clarinet, Meadow Heights High School.
PERRYVILLE: Shelly Monier, flute/piccolo, Perryville High School; and Lela Yamnitz, clarinet, Perryville High School.
PUXICO: Nicole Fredrickson, bassoon, Puxico High School.
