STUDENT SEMI-FINALIST AS COCA COLA SCHOLAR

ORAN -- Richard T. Daniel, a senior at Oran High School, has been selected as one of 1,780 semifinalists in the 1993 Coca-Cola Scholars Program.

More than 100,000 applications were received from across the nation. Semifinalists were chosen based on leadership, character and achievement in the school and community.

Daniel now completes additional materials to be considered in selection of the 150 Coca-Cola Scholars; 50 national scholars will receive awards of $20,000 and the 100 regional scholars will receive $4,000.
