C. Luke Dry of Cape Girardeau has received a President's Scholarship and a Missouri Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 1993-1994 academic year.
The President's Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who rank in the upper 15 percent of their high school class and score 23 on the ACT or who rank in the upper 20 percent of their high school class and score 24 on the ACT, or who graduate as their class valedictorian or salutatorian.
The scholarship is worth $1,000 per academic year and is renewable for four years if the student maintains a 3.5 grade point average on a four-point scale.
The Missouri Leadership Award is a one-year award of $500 and is designed for Missouri students who have demonstrated leadership and academic abilities.
Dry, a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School, plans to major in wildlife management at Southeast. He is the son of Donald and Betty Dry of Cape Girardeau.
