KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Several dozen flights have been canceled or delayed at the largest airports in Kansas and Missouri as a winter storm blankets a large swath of the country.

At Kansas City International Airport in Missouri, 11 departing flights were listed as canceled Sunday afternoon, while two others were delayed. Among the arriving flights, eight had been canceled.

The disruption occurred even though most of the snowfall in the city melted quickly.

On the other end of the state, 16 arrivals were canceled as of Sunday afternoon at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, while another eight were delayed. Among the departures, 21 were canceled, and five were delayed.

At the Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Kansas, three arriving and three departing flights were listed as canceled. One delay was reported.
