The independent judges of each competition grant a $1000 cash grand-prize for the best poem or essay. There are 99 other cash and gift prizes distributed.
The Iliad Literary Award Program holds four competitions throughout the year.
Each of the winning entries is published free of charge in a hard-cover book of collected literature.
