Two local law enforcement agencies have recovered stolen property from Southern Illinois, the Cape Girardeau Police Department reported Monday.
The items recovered in Illinois had been reported stolen from three locations in Cape Girardeau, according to a news release from the department.
Officers from the Cape Girardeau Police Department and Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department recovered the property, the release stated.
Once detectives identify all the victims, they will return the items to their rightful owners, the release said.
One suspect is in custody pending formal charges, and detectives have identified several other suspects and are awaiting arrest warrants in connection with the case, the release stated.
