STODDARD COUNTY, Mo. — A 21-year-old Grandin man lost his life in a wreck at the U.S. 60 and Highway 51 junction Tuesday afternoon just before 2 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Calvin D. Bliss was driving the 1997 Ford pickup, heading south on 51 when he failed to yield and pulled into the path of the westbound semi-truck driven by a Springfield, Mo., man, 59-year-old Angel T. Angelov. Bliss was flown by helicopter to a Cape Girardeau medical facility, where he was pronounced dead several hours later. The wreck marks the 12th fatality in Troop E for the calendar year.
