STEELE, Mo. -- A 56-year-old Steele woman was killed in a mobile home fire Wednesday morning. The fire broke out just before noon, according to the Steele police chief Billy Joe Stanfield. When the firefighters and police arrived on the scene, the mobile home was engulfed in flames and thick smoke. Steele firefighters entered the mobile home to find the body of 56-year-old Nancy Lorretta Thorne, who lived in the mobile home. The Missouri State Fire Marshal was contacted to assist in processing the fire scene. Foul play is not suspected.
