STE. GENEVIEVE -- A weekend program devoted to traditions of the French along the Mississippi River has been set for Nov. 5-7 by the Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve.
Speakers, musicians and tours of historic homes, some rescued from this year's flood, will be featured.
The event begins Nov. 5 with a reception from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at La Maison Guibourd-Valle.
Speakers will give their presentations Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hotel Ste. Genevieve. On Nov. 7 there will be a traditional French foods brunch at the Mammy Shaw State Historic Site followed by films and videos on Ste. Geneveive and the flood.
