A tour of some of the finest kitchens in Cape Girardeau homes will be held March 28.
The Kitchen Tour and Cookbook Sale, sponsored by the Cape Girardeau County Medical Auxiliary, raises funds to benefit local health-related charities, said Debbie Griffith, member of the auxiliary.
A limited number of tickets are available for the tour and can be obtained through any auxiliary member or by calling Kerrye Foley at 334-0115.
The tour includes the homes of Dr. and Mrs. Bill Terry, Dr. and Mrs. Randy Reiser, Mrs. Jackie Clark, Dr. and Mrs. Craig Williams and Dr. and Mrs. Ray Ritter Jr.
The cookbooks include favorite recipes from auxiliary members, and will be available on the tour or by calling Lyn Stoecker at 335-4647, Griffith said. They are $10 each.
Food samples from the book will be available at the homes on the tour, which begins at 10 a.m.
"In addition to recipes, the books contain helpful cooking information." Griffith said. "They make great Christmas gifts or hostess gifts."
