State retains Chaffee license office contract

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Management at the Chaffee license office will stay the same, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The department awarded a contract to operate the office, which provides driver's licenses and motor vehicle registrations, to Ernst & Sadler Licensing Inc., owned by Dena Ernst of Jackson and LaTanya Sadler of Chaffee, according to the release.

They have been the contractor for the office since 2009. The office will remain at 129 S. Main St.

The office handled more than 31,000 transactions in 2013, netting more than $106,000 in fees from customers. The contract includes an annual commitment to return 5 percent of future processing fees to the state.
