State police update background-check database

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division has updated its fingerprint portal. School districts now are able to view and download criminal record checks, according to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Before being granted access to the system, at least two staff members from each district are required to complete a training webinar.

School districts that did not have staff complete the webinar in June may participate in August or September webinars. To register, visit dese.mo.gov/communications/electronic-mailbag.
