The Missouri Department of Transportation is reminding motorists to be watchful while driving Highway 25 this Memorial Day weekend.
The annual 100-Mile Yard Sale, stretching along Highway 25 from Jackson to Kennett, Mo., starts Thursday. During the event the road will be packed with shoppers and sellers. Yard-sale patrons will drive slowly and in many spots people will be crossing the road on foot.
Message boards will be in place along the route to alert drivers of the unusual traffic patterns and promote safe driving, according to a MoDOT news release.
