State highway commission awards overlay contract

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Department Commission has awarded a contract for overlays through Cape Girardeau, Bollinger and Perry counties. The $2,076,163 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Co. LLC of St. Louis. The project includes overlaying routes D, E, B and UU, and Highway 177. More than 60 miles of the routes will be improved, with work expected to begin in the spring. Work is expected to be completed by December.
