The Missouri Department of Conservation will conduct a pre-turkey season hunter education class on Saturday.
The 10-hour course will be conducted at the Cape Girardeau Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall starting at 8 a.m.
"Hunters born on or after Jan. 1, 1967, are required to successfully complete this course before they can purchase any firearms hunting permit," said Gene Myers of the Cape Girardeau regional DOC office.
There is no preregistration for the class.
Additional information may be obtained by calling the local conservation office at 290-5730.
