State board for historic preservation to gather

The public will have an opportunity to meet the Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation at a reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Buckner Brewing Co. restaurant at 132 N. Main St. The Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau, the historic preservation program at Southeast Missouri State University and Buckner Brewing Co. will sponsor the reception. The state board will meet today and Friday in Cape Girardeau to consider nominations to the National Register of Historic Places.
