The victim, a 17-year-old, was stabbed in the arm and told officers it occurred at a location on the west end of Sikeston. The officers said the wound was jagged and did not appear to be from a knife.

Officers later noticed a blood trail on the east end of town near Sikeston Hair Supply at 117 S. Kingshighway, which had been broken into.

McMillen said officials are unsure whether the two incidents are related, but they remain under investigation.
