ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A public elementary school in St. Louis is getting science support from the Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis zoo and the science center. The Mullanphy Investigative Learning Center is working with the three institutions to step up how science is taught. ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A public elementary school in St. Louis is getting science support from the Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis zoo and the science center.

The Mullanphy Investigative Learning Center is working with the three institutions to step up how science is taught. The focus is on teacher development, more field trips and family science nights.

The school have been working with the outside groups for 18 months to create the science-lab school. The Boeing Co. is providing funds.

Lessons are presented at grade level, and encourage students to answer inquiries as they learn about science.
