GLENDALE, Mo. (AP) -- Police in the St. Louis suburb of Glendale are investigating the second home invasion in four days.
Glendale police Sgt. Bob Catlett says a resident opened her front door slightly for an unfamiliar man Monday afternoon, but left her door chain in place.
The man said he had locked his keys in his car, and she gave him a portable phone to use outside. He then drew a gun, demanded entry to her home and took her rings, identification and a small amount of cash.
Police believe the same man, using the same methods, also struck Friday just a few blocks away. He stole two rings in that case. Police are concerned that he will try to commit more crimes.
