ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis police officer shot and killed while on patrol has a street renamed in his memory.
A stretch of Margaretta Avenue is dedicated to Police Officer Norvelle Brown. The street is next to the North Patrol Division, where Brown had been assigned.
Brown was shot while on routine patrol last August.
A 15-year old suspect, Antonio Andrews, was charged with first-degree murder and will be tried as an adult.
Brown was 22 at the time of his death and had been a member of the city's police department for one year.
