PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A St. Louis man was arrested Friday in Perryville after attempting to rob an undercover informant in a drug investigation, police said.
On Friday, the Perry County Sheriff's Department, SEMO Drug Task Force and Perryville Police Department were conducting an undercover investigation. Timmy T. Johnson, 32, was to deliver illegal drugs to a person in Perryville. Upon arrival it became apparent that Johnson intended to rob the informant he was supposed to deliver the drugs to, police said.
Johnson is charged with felony attempted distribution/delivery of a controlled substance and felony second degree attempted robbery.
He is being held at the Perry County Jail on $10,000 cash-only bond.
