CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) -- A St. Louis County man will be sentenced May 16 for a fatal accident in which he drove the wrong way on Interstate 270.

Twenty-four-year-old Sean Like pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

Like was fleeing police when he drove the wrong way on the interstate in north St. Louis County on April 6, 2007. His pickup struck a car driven by 36-year-old James Cummings, of Ferguson, killing Cummings.

A passenger in Like's car was not charged.

St. Louis police had Like's vehicle under surveillance before the crash, as they sought suspects in burglaries and car break-ins. Officers stopped the pursuit minutes before the accident.
