Police said Craig McCormack, 29, was conscious and alert after the wreck but was taken to North Kansas City Hospital with internal injuries. The accident happened at 10:23 a.m. as McCormack drove into the parking lot of a landscaping supply company. The driveway is crossed by the railroad tracks, and the train's engineer and conductor said it appeared that McCormack was unaware of the oncoming train, police said.
