St. Francis Medical Center will sponsor an American Red Cross standard first aid class on two consecutive Thursday nights in April.
The two-part class begins April 7 and concludes April 14. Both sessions are set for 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the St. Francis Information Center in Jackson.
The course includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation instruction and techniques for assisting people with an obstructed airway. It also covers first aid treatment for life-threatening injuries such as severe bleeding, fractures and shock.
Registration fee is $30. In addition there is an optional $12 book fee. For information or to register call Kathy Casteel at 243-5222.
