St. Francis Medical Center recognized 152 employees for their years of service to the hospital at its annual service award banquet.
The banquet, which was held last Friday at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, was done so in conjunction with National Hospital Week, May 9-15.
Members of the St. Francis Board of Directors presented service pins and other commemorative items to employees who had reached five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 40-year service milestones. St. Francis Human Resources Director Bob Owen said at the banquet that the 152 employees of the hospital have worked at the hospital a combined 1,657 years.
St. Francis Social Service Director Ken Green was also honored at the banquet as the recipient of the Medical Center's first annual leadership award, which recognizes a member of the hospital's middle-management team for outstanding service and leadership.
Imelda Nenninger of the St. Francis business office received a standing ovation from her co-workers as she was recognized for her 40 years off employment at St. Francis. She joined the hospital in August 1952 and plans to continue working at St. Francis until the year 2000.
Rose Musgrave-Quinn, a supervisor in the hospital's laboratory, was honored for attaining the 35-year milestone.
Also honored were five employees who have worked at St. Francis for 25 years; four who have worked at the hospital for 20 years; 42 for having served with St. Francis for 15 years; 48 for working there 10 years and 51 who have worked at the hospital for five years.
