Gary Forsee, chairman and chief executive officer of Sprint Corp., will present the commencement address at Southeast Missouri State University's fall commencement on Dec. 20.
Forsee, a 1968 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than 30 years.
The commencement ceremony for the 576 graduating students is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Show Me Center.
Participating will be 488 undergraduates and 88 graduate students.
Five undergraduates will be graduating with perfect 4.0 grade point averages, including two from the Southeast Missouri area -- Amy Mattes of Kelso and Marsha Walker of Dexter.
Four honors scholars will be recognized. They include Samantha Russell and Madeline Simington, both of Cape Girardeau.
Jon Castronova of Dexter will graduate with academic distinction in the field of psychology.
An honors convocation is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in the Show Me Center to recognize 107 undergraduates and 43 graduate students. Dr. Bruce Domazlicky, economics professor, will present the convocation address.
Dr. Paul Lloyd, a psychology professor and chairman of Faculty Senate, will serve as grand marshal at the commencement ceremony.
