"Rockin' with Mother Earth" is the theme of this year's Southeast Missouri State University Spring Thing scheduled for Saturday at the intramural fields on the corner of Sprigg and Bertling.
The event is free and begins at 2 p.m.
Spring Thing '91 will feature the alternative band, The Urge. Based in St. Louis, The Urge plays a mixture of funk and reggae. Reggae At Will, another St. Louis-based band, is the opening act.
By bringing recyclable aluminum and paper, those attending the event will be able to register to win one of more than 25 door prizes.
