A nationally-recognized speaker on gangs in violence in the United States will appear tonight at 7 in Central High School Auditorium.
Dr. Louis Gonzales will discuss pre-gang characteristics, risk factors for gang affiliations and effective intervention strategies with the public.
Gonzales is known for practical, effective strategies in the training of school personnel and community leaders to intervene in situations where young people have become involved in drugs, gangs or dropping out of school.
Gonzales will hold a private workshop this afternoon with school administrators and teachers.
