The title of the lecture is "Cultural Anxiety: Australia and the Rise of Asia, 1880s to the Present." The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Missouriana Room and is free and open to the public.

Walker currently is serving as a visiting professor at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He is a participant in the North American Speaker Series sponsored by the Australian Education Office in the Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The lecture is being sponsored by Southeast's School of University Studies and the political science department.
