Southeast Missouri State University will show off two of its agriculture operations Wednesday with two events -- one for high school and community college students and another open to the public. Students and their instructors are invited to the Agriculture Educational Field Day starting at 9 a.m. at the Charles L. Hutson Horticulture Greenhouse. Lunch will be served, but the event is free. Students and instructors are asked to RSVP today. More information is available by calling the Department of Agriculture at 651-2106 or emailing creinagel@semo.edu. The university also hosts its Agriculture Research Center Field Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the David M. Barton Agriculture Research Center in Gordonville. The event is open to the public. After an introduction, concurrent information sessions on field and beef research are scheduled from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. For more information, contact the department of agriculture at the number above.
