Elizabeth M. Otto of
Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Regents' Scholarship and Missouri
Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University
during the 1992-1993 academic year.
The Regents' Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who score above
the 90th percentile on the ACT or SAT test. The award covers full-
time fees per semester and is renewable for four years.
The Missouri Leadership Award is a one-year award designed for
Missouri students who have demonstrated leadership and academic
abilities.
Otto is the daughter of David and Catherine Otto of Cape
Girardeau and will graduate this year from Cape Girardeau Central High School.
She has received the John Danforth "I Dare You" Award, participated
in the Sophomore Pilgrimage, and has been named to the National
Honor Society.
She is senior class secretary and past president of
the Beta Club, and has been active in the Red Dagger dramatics
club. She also is president of the Pep Club, a member of the
Spanish Club, and has earned several academic awards.
She plans to major in mathematics and minor in biology at
Southeast.
