The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who score above the 90th percentile on the ACT or SAT test. The award covers full-time fees per semester and is renewable for four years.

Bertrand is the daughter of Larry and Connie Bertrand of Scott City. She will graduate from Scott City High School this spring. She plans to major in business administration at Southeast.
