Southeast Missouri State University biology professor Christina Lee Frazier will deliver the summer commencement address Aug. 4.

Commencement exercises are set for 7 p.m. Eighty-five graduate students will receive diplomas.

The 180 undergraduates who completed their degrees this summer were allowed to participate in the spring commencement or wait for the fall commencement in December.

An honors convocation will be held during commencement ceremonies to recognize the 50 graduate students who have achieved at least a 3.8 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

Frazier, who has been at Southeast since 1979, received the Faculty Merit Award in 1993.

She has been a prime developer of Southeast's biology program in microbiology and virology.
