Southeast Missouri State University is searching for a new dean for its College of Education after the appointment of its old dean wasn't continued. The school announced Friday that its board of regents made the decision Wednesday after examining reviews of all university deans and associate deans. The Cape Girardeau school said the former education dean, Margaret Noe, will become a faculty member. A release from the school offered no explanation, and the school's provost was gone and didn't immediately return a phone call. The school plans to conduct a national search for her replacement. An interim dean has been appointed.
